COMMERCE — The Jefferson girls volleyball team traveled to East Jackson on Tuesday and split a pair of matches.
The Lady Dargons (14-4, 0-1 Area 8-AAA) dropped its area opener 27-25, 25-13 to Oconee County.
In the second match, Jefferson rebounded with a 25-11, 25-17 win over East Jackson in a non-area match.
Abby Wood had 14 kills and eight digs for Jefferson. Grace Haney had 10 assists and four digs, Darien Matlock added three kills and eight digs, and Olivia Przybysz had 14 digs for the Lady Dragons.
