COMMERCE—A new fire house is on the way for Commerce residents.
According to a press release, Fire Station 2 will be unveiled with a ribbon cutting and open house Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Light refreshments will be served at the facility, which is located at 2880 Sandy Creek Road.
A bounce house and Sparky the dog will be available for children; free firefighter hats will be given out as well.
The station is dedicated to the memory of firefighter Fred McCoy.
