BRASELTON -- A pair of Gainesville's top young golfers took Atlanta Junior Golf titles recently at Chateau Elan.
Gainesville High School rising sophomore Ryan Hogan won the AJGA Grand Championship Thursday and Gainesville Middle School rising seventh grader Sam Patterson won the 9-Hole Championship July 23.
Hogan won by one stroke over Mitchell Taylor of Suwanee, besting the field of 31 and finishing the three-day event at +14 (75, 75, 77). Also of note in the AJGA Grand Championship, Gainesvlle rising junior Hunter Worley finished tied for 15th with a +34 (86, 80, 81).
Patterson won the 12-and-under division 9-hole title by four shots over Jalen Cauley of Lawrenceville.
