By Associated Press

KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) Officials at a metro Atlanta university are celebrating the school's 100,000th graduate.

Kennesaw State University officials say 22-year-old biology major Laura Pyronneau of Douglasville became the school's 100,000th graduate during its commencement ceremony Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say Pyronneau was presented with a certificate acknowledging the occasion.

KSU officials say Pyronneau is originally from Staten Island, New York, has been involved in several campus activities and studied abroad in Colombia. Officials say Pyronneau has worked part-time as a certified pharmacy technician since late 2011 and plans to go to pharmacy school.
