Dates for annual Dahlonega Wine Trail Weekend set

DAHLONEGA — The fourth annual Dahlonega Wine Trail Weekend will take place August 22 & 23. 
 
Five wineries will participate, providing wine lovers with the chance to taste four wines over the weekend at each of the wineries for $30 – including some wines that have earned medals, top honors and recognition at national and international competitions.   Participating wineries include Cavender Creek Vineyards & Winery, Frogtown Cellars, Montaluce Winery & Estates, Three Sisters Vineyards & Winery, and Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery. 
 
Dahlonega was recently named the official Wine Tasting Room Capital of Georgia, and with the highest concentration of wineries and vineyards in the state, the North Georgia Mountain Region is also known as the Heart of Georgia Wine Country.  The region been discovered as the perfect place to grow and ripen a wide variety of European, French hybrids and American wine grapes.
