Missing Canton man reunited with family in Cleveland

CLEVELAND - An 83-year-old man reported missing since Monday from Cherokee County was located safe in Cleveland Tuesday afternoon.
 
Cleveland Police Chief John Foster said Calvin Ball was at McDonald's on South Main Street, where an employee started talking with him. From their conversation, the employee decided to call the police.

Chief Foster said he saw a report on TV Monday night about Ball and recognized him. When authorities arrived at the McDonald's, Foster said they talked with Ball and the man knew where he lived. Foster said they decided to take him to the police station, gave him some refreshments and called a medical unit to check him. Police stayed with Ball until has son arrived to pick him up around 5 p.m. 

Foster said Ball seemed to be okay, but they did suggest his family take him to the hospital to be checked out further.
