Boys soccer: East Hall dominates 2nd round 10-0, headed to quarters

JACKSON -- The fourth-ranked East Hall boys soccer team dominated Jackson High for a 10-0 victory in the second round of the Class AAA playoffs on Wednesday.

Leo Toledo bagged three goals (giving him 60 for the season) and added two assists, as the Vikings (14-5-1) overwhelmed their hosts and clinched a state quarterfinal berth.

Carlos Castrejon also scored two goals and provided one assist, while Diego Alarcon scored two goals and had two assists. Roberto Angeles, Oscar Gonzales and Antonio Perez also scored one goal and had one assist apiece. Bryan Galvez added one assist.

East Hall's defense held an undefeated Jackson team to just five shots on goal for the night.

The Vikings will play at Calhoun on Saturday in the third round, kickoff time is still to be determined.
