FLOWERY BRANCH - On the first day of qualifying for two open Flowery Branch city council posts, two men signed up to run for the Post 1 job; so far, no one has qualified to run for Post 5.
City Clerk Melissa McCain said Chris Mundy and Michael G. Justice both submitted paperwork Monday.
A special election to fill both seats is scheduled for June 16.
The qualifying period ends Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
