Fourth North Georgia All-Star Classic will close out big season on March 28

Area prep hoop stars are set to show off their skills in for the fourth year in a row in the North Georgia All-Star Classic basketball game.

The event will take place on Saturday, March 28 at the Gainesville High gym, beginning at 1 p.m. (doors open at noon) and showcase the talents of standouts from throughout the area. (See below for full rosters.)

Festivities planned for this year include a 3-point shootout (1 p.m.), followed by a slam dunk contest (2 p.m.). (NOTE: To see highlights of some of the area boys that will be competing at the event, simply click "play" in the box to the right and watch our season dunk highlight reel.)

The girls all-star contest will take place at 3 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the boys showdown.

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students, children aged 5 and under are free. All youths wearing a basketball jersey that participated with these organizations -- Boys and Girls Club, Gainesville Park and Rec, YMCA or Hall County Park and Rec -- will be admitted free.
