COAL MOUNTAIN — The Flowery Branch girls basketball team defeated Greater Atlanta Christian 68-43 on Tuesday to claim the North Forsyth Thanksgiving tournament title in Coal Mountain.
The Lady Falcons (3-0) pouced for a 20-10 first quarter lead and extended their advantage in each quarter thereafter.
Breanna Locke scored 17 points to pace Flowery Branch, while Julianne Sutton and Caroline Wysocki each scored 11 in the win. Taniyah Worth also added 10 points.
Locke was named tournament MVP, while Sutton was named to the all-tournament team.
