FLOWERY BRANCH - A fire Monday night caused about $75,000 damage to a house near Flowery Branch.

Zachary Brackett, a spokesman for Hall County Fire Services, says the call came in about 8:40.

"Arriving units found a 2,000-square-foot home...with fire in the kitchen area," Brackett said.  "Utilizing an aggressive interior attack, crews were able to contain the fire to the kitchen which sustained heavy fire damage estimated at $75,000.

Brackett said the people in the house at the time all made it out safely.  He added investigators will be following up Tuesday, trying to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
