Rain postpones NeSmith DLMS season finale at Ocala

By Roby Helm

OCALA, Fla. - A heavy afternoon rain shower postponed Saturday night’s $10,000-to-win 100-lap Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series on Saturday at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Fla.

NeSmith Racing and Bubba Raceway Park officials are currently working to find a date to reschedule the race to that works for all involved.

Two B-Main Races and the 100-lap main event are still to be contested to complete the event that is the 2015 season finale for the NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series. Qualifying and the four ten-lap Heat Races were run last night. Kyle Bronson of Brandon, Fla. was the fast qualifier and won the first Heat Race to earn the pole position for the 100-lap main event.

The four heat races took the top four finishers to set the first 16 starting spots for the 11th Annual Chevrolet Performance World Championship Race. The two B-main races that were scheduled for Saturday would have set the remaining eight starting spots in the rear of the field.
