In Class A public, the Towns County girls cross country team reigned at the state meet in Carrollton Nov. 7, taking three of the top 10 spots -- including first place for Hannah Whitehead (22:08). Taylor Cornett also finished second (22:30), helping the Lady Indians to finish in front of region rivals Commerce, which took second.
Towns County cross country coach Jeannie Ledford joined the Nov. 9 edition of Game On with Katie B. Davis to talk about not only the season's success, but winning four straight state titles.
