Gwinnett police say road rage might have sparked deadly Dacula shooting

DACULA — A deadly shooting in Dacula might have been sparked by a road rage incident, according to Gwinnett County Police.

Officers responded to a 911 call at 1625 Windsong Park Drive Wednesday night and found a white male shot in the chest. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
 
The apparent shooter and a witness also were at the scene.
 
According to a press statement, the shooter told the responding officers that the incident was the result of a roadway disagreement. The victim and witness, who were in the same vehicle, reportedly followed the shooter to his home, where the argument continued. 
 
Police did not say what sparked the disagreement. They said the shooter and the witness were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
 
At this point, identies of those involved have not been released.
