Former Atlanta Braves pitcher Hanson dies at 29

ATLANTA — Multiple news agencies report the death of former Atlanta Braves pitcher Tommy Hanson.

Hanson, who was just 29, had been in a coma. He was reportedly taken to Piedmont Hospital Monday night where he died from "catastrophic organ failure."

A report on MLB.com reported some of Hanson's Braves teammates were with him when he died.

Hanson played for five years in the major leagues, four of those in Atlanta.
