Piedmont College's 'Great Decisions' to mark 45th year

DEMOREST - The Great Decisions foreign policy discussion group will begin its 45th year at Piedmont College, with an organizational meeting at 3:00 Jan. 12.

A list of planned topics for 2016 includes the Middle East, the rise of ISIS, the future of Kurdistan, migration, the Koreas, the United Nations, climate change, and Cuba and the US. Each session is usually led by one or more of the group's participants or by invited guests. The forum is open to anyone who wishes to discuss foreign policy issues in a cordial, non-partisan environment.

The meetings usually last about one-and-a-half hours. Discussion of topics will begin at 3:00 Tuesday, January 19. Meetings will continue at the same time and place for eight weeks or longer.

An optional briefing book is available through The Foreign Policy Association, a non-partisan, non-profit organization which encourages discussion of foreign policy issues.
