BUFORD -- The Buford softball team knocked out North Oconee 12-3 on Thursday in Buford.<br />
Buford scored early and often in a 5-inning, run-rule shortened game to open Region 8-AAAA play. Senior Bria Bush threw the first 3 innings, holding the Lady Titans hitless with one walk while striking out five. <br />
Buford, meanwhile, produced 10 hits.<br />
Alexus Murray led the way at the plate for the Lady Wolves (12-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA), going 2 for 2 with a double and 2 RBI, while Baylee Sexton had a hit, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored and a stolen base. Tessa Daniels drove in 2 runs and scored a run, and Brianna Gutierrez had a hit, 2 RBI and a run scored.<br />
Buford travels to North Hall on Tuesday in a Region 8-AAAA contest.
