TOCCOA - Toccoa Falls College announced a change in its mascot name Thursday, but it's more of an addition than a change.

Toccoa Falls', previously the Eagles, is now the Screaming Eagles.

The addition allows the school to share its mascot name with Easy Company, the 2nd Battalion of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne, according to the college.

Made widely known in the television series "Band of Brothers," the World War II era Screaming Eagles trained at Camp Toccoa.
