Gainesville shooter faces additional charges

GAINESVILLE - Additional charges have been filed against the Gainesville man arrested for the shooting of two women at the Atlanta Street Apartments last Friday.<br /> <br /> Antwan Xavier Earls, 24, was initially arrested on two counts of aggravated assault.<br /> <br /> Gainesville Police Corporal Kevin Holbrook says that investigators have now upgraded charges against Earls to include: violation of a conditional bond, two counts of possession of a gun by a convicted felon, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, one count of aggravated assault and one count of burglary in the second degree.<br /> <br /> Earlier, Gainesville Police said Earls acted alone and knew the victims.<br /> <br /> Earls remains in the Hall County Jail.<br />
