N.Ga.'s Collins to deliver weekly GOP address

WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has selected Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) to deliver the Weekly Republican Address on Saturday, August 16.<br /> <br /> Boehner made the announcement via a press release from his office Friday morning. <br /> <br /> Collins, who is in the 9th District during the August recess, confirmed that he prepared and recorded the address this week on the Brenau University campus in Gainesville.<br /> <br /> The address will focus on what Collins said is Senate Democrats' inaction on my than 40 jobs bills passed by the Republican-led House. <br /> <br /> "The House has worked, the Senate's not working - that's not the way government is supposed to operate," said Collins on the Friday edition of WDUN's Morning Talk. "We've go to take care of the American people.<br /> <br /> The Weekly Republican Address will be available starting at 6 am ET Saturday on Speaker.gov and GOP.gov. <br /> <br />
