NGCF still accepting Philanthropist of the Year nominations

GAINESVILLE - The North Georgia Community Foundation *NGCF) is still accepting Philanthropist of the Year Award nominations but the deadline is fast approaching. Nominations must be submitted by Aug. 15.<br /> <br /> To be eligible for the honor, nominees must live in the Foundation's 15-county service area which includes Banks, Dawson, Fannin, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union and White counties.<br /> <br /> The award recognizes an individual or family for their impact on the region through their lifetime of giving.<br /> <br /> A selection committee comprised of five previous recipients, three members of the Foundation's board and three at large members will choose the finalists for the honor.<br /> <br /> The 2014 honoree will be recognized at the 10th annual Philanthropist of the Year event Thursday, Nov. 20.<br /> <br /> Nomination forms are available on the NGCF website (www.ngcf.org/poy) or by calling (770) 535-7880.
