SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) -- Police in Sandy Springs have recovered a Chevrolet Camaro they say was stolen during a carjacking.
Police said in a news release that detectives continued to seek two suspects they say shot a woman during the carjacking just after midnight Wednesday. The suspects were not identified, but police said they were working on leads provided by the victims and witnesses.
The 27-year-old woman, who was shot in the abdomen, was recovering after surgery and was expected to recover fully.
The yellow Camaro with black stripes and black wheels was found not far from where it was taken.
A couple of days after an outright win in the general primary in which he avoided a runoff by a wide margin, U.S. Representative Doug Collins, R-Gainesville, said he was glad the week was drawing to a close.
