CLEVELAND - A 20-year-old man had to be rescued from the side of Yonah Mountain Sunday night.
White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said emergency medical services and rescue personnel were dispatched to Yonah Mountain Recreational Area at 7 p.m.
The unidentified male had suffered a leg injury.
According to Murphy, the patient could not walk out on his own, so rescuers using the fire service ATV made access and transported the patient to a waiting ambulance. The man was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
White County officials report a happy ending to an incident involving a third grade student at White County Intermediate School. The student was placed on the wrong bus and got off at the wrong location late Tuesday and was the object of a small search.
