Cumming church plans 1st service in new church home

By Ken Stanford Reporter
CUMMING - A Cumming church will hold its first service in its new church home Sunday.

Living Faith Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod is at 1171 Atlanta Highway.

The road to this new church home has been a long one. The journey began with a small group of individuals meeting in a private home in 2000. The following year, they began meeting at a school in Cumming and organized a new church - Living Faith Lutheran Church.

After a few other re-locations, the congregation moved to 103 Buford Dam Road and has resided there since 2007. Finally, in 2012, after looking for years for a suitable property, a site was found on Highway 9 South in Cumming.

Groundbreaking activities were celebrated on May 5, 2013 to begin the initial construction phase.

The Dedication Service for the new church will be held on October 5 at 4:00.
