CLEVELAND - No one was hurt as a result of a fire in a motor home south of Cleveland Thursday morning.
White County Public Safety Director David Murphy said the fire department was dispatched to Leisure Acres RV Park on Westmoreland Road at 8:34 a.m.
He said when the first unit arrived smoke and flames were coming from the home.
Firefighters were able to make a quick knockdown of the fire, but Murphy said of the motor home, "it's expected to be a total loss."
A weeklong search for a Missouri couple wanted in a series of robberies and abductions across the South ended with one suspect dead and the other wounded Friday, after authorities say they chased the pair across the highway and through a rural neighborhood and exchanged gunfire with them in Florida's Panhandle.
