WINDER - Sunday marks the one year anniversary of a fatal hit-and-run incident that is still under investigation by the Barrow County Sheriff's Office.<br />
On July 13, 2013, Deborah Burton was walking along Manning Ginn Road towards Highway 53 when she was struck and killed by an unknown driver that was traveling in the same direction, according to Lt. Matt Guthas in a press release.<br />
Lt. Guthas says the Sheriff's Office and the State Patrol are looking for a late model 1980's or early 1990's GM vehicle in connection with the incident.<br />

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has released statistics on boating incidents for the Memorial Day Weekend and the Gainesville area has seen the most Boating Under the Influence incidents of any major waterway in the state.
