Few details released about Lake Burton propane incident

CLARKESVILLE - Vehicular and boat traffic in the area of one cove in Lake Burton were interrupted for a time Saturday afternoon as a result of a propane leak.<br /> <br /> Rabun County officials say a home propane tank on Moccasin Creek Road rolled down an embankment just after 2:30 p.m., resulting in the leak.<br /> <br /> One resident sought refuge on her boathouse until she was evacuated by the Lake Rabun fire boat.<br /> <br /> The leak was stopped about an hour after it was reported, but fire personnel remained on scene for another hour until the propane dissipated.<br /> <br /> Moccasin Creek Road was shut down about a half mile from the leak in each direction. Boat traffic also was stopped about a quarter mile from the incident location.<br /> <br /> No injuries were reported.<br /> <br /> Additional details are not available.
