Mistrial denied in Pepper's Market shooting trial

GAINESVILLE - A motion for a mistrial was denied this afternoon in a Gainesville murder case.<br /> <br /> The trial for Joseph Scott Williams began on Monday. This afternoon, a motion for a mistrial was denied by Judge Jason Deal, according to Hall County Court Administrator Reggie Forrester.<br /> <br /> Willaims is accused in the June 3, 2013 shooting death of Adrian Thompson outside of Pepper's Market on E.E. Butler Parkway. The victim , Adrian Thompson, passed away at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center the same day as the shooting.<br /> <br /> Williams faces charges of murder, possession of a gun during the commission of a crime and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.<br />
