HULL, Ga. (AP) Sheriff's officials in northeastern Georgia say a 14-year-old boy has been charged in the attempted rape of a 70-year-old woman. <br />
The Athens Banner-Herald reported Wednesday that the boy is being held in the Regional Youth Detention Center in Gainesville. <br />
Madison County Sheriff Kip Thomas says the boy is also charged with aggravated assault and burglary. <br />
Authorities say the teen broke into the woman's home Friday night and was armed with a knife when he tried assaulting her. The teen was arrested based on a description the woman gave authorities. <br />
In response to a proposed fine and safety citations from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the manager of a plastics manufacturing facility in Oakwood issued a statement Wednesday, saying, "safety is a number one priority."
