Former Flowery Branch Mayor dies

FLOWERY BRANCH - Former Flowery Branch Mayor Eugene Green has died.<br /> <br /> City records show that Green first served Flowery Branch as a councilman from 1983 to 1986 and then again in 1989 and 1990.<br /> <br /> He was elected mayor in 1991 and served in that capacity until 1998.<br /> <br /> Green, who was 83, died Thursday.<br /> <br /> Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Little-Davenport Funeral Home in Gainesville.<br />
