ATLANTA - Forecasters say a storm system and heavy rain is expected to linger in most of Georgia into the evening.<br />
The National Weather Service says lightning storms, high wind and heavy rain is expected in most of Georgia through at least 10 p.m.<br />
Forecasters say isolated and scattered afternoon and evening showers are possible throughout the week. Meteorologists say the storms could produce wind gusts, frequent lightning and heavy rain.
The jobless rate for the Northeast Georgia region ticked down a bit in October, while the Gainesville metro remained flat, according to numbers released Thursday morning by the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL).
