R.A. Brown bags Late Model Stock victory at Anderson

WILLIAMSTON, SC - R.A. Brown held off a hard charging Kyle Plott Friday night to make the trip to victory lane in Late Model Stocks action at Anderson Motor Speedway in Williamston, SC.<br /> <br /> Randy Porter trailed the top two to come home in third. David Roberts finished in fourth, with Justin Sorrow in fifth.<br /> <br /> Anthony Anders, Joe Wilder, Kenneth Headen, Cody Haskins and Nick Leitz rounded out the top ten.<br /> <br /> In other action, David Darnell outdistanced Chad Campbell to score the win in the Mini Stocks Summer Slammer feature. Ben Kay finished in third, with Brian Porter in fourth and Scotty Beck in fifth.<br /> <br /> Rick Kelly topped the field to pick up the Super Renegades victory. Michael Mote finished second, with Whitey Suttles in third, David Whitaker in fourth and Don Morgan in fifth.<br /> <br /> In Renegades aciton, Steve Gutherie scored the victory, with Troy Carnes, Shawn Campbell, Chris Whitfield and Billy Brown rounding out the top five.<br /> <br /> Zane Smith was first under the checkered flag to grab the US Legends win. Lee Jordan finished in second, followed by Rex Brown in third, Michael Womack in fourth and Justin Ashley in fifth.<br /> <br /> Chuck Mitchell was the man to beat in the BM Modified feature, as he nabbed the victory. Matt Meyer finished in second, with B.J. Thrasher in third, Alan Mitchell in fourth and Shon Gibson in fifth.<br /> <br /> The Front Wheel Drives wrapped up the night, with Donovan Beacham taking top honors for the feature win. Brian King ran second, with C.J. Huitt in third, Chris Harvell in fourth and Don Tavernia in fifth.<br /> <br /> Anderson Motor Speedway is back in action on Friday, June 20, featuring the Renegades Summer Slammer, along with a regular racing card.
