ACWORTH, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities have recovered the body of a 6-year-old boy from Lake Allatoona, northwest of Atlanta.
A Cherokee County sheriff's spokesman says Corday Dimilo Duffy of College Park had gone missing Friday night from his family's campsite near water's edge.
Sheriff's Lt. Jay Baker said his body was found early Saturday morning in about four to five feet of water and almost 25 to 30 feet from the shore.
Baker said there was a large log leading from the shore into the water near where Duffy's body was found.
Baker tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (http://on-ajc.com/1se2UBW ) that it appeared the boy might have walked out on the log and then fell in water just over his head.
