Truck drives into Wendy's dining room

DAWSONVILLE - A Dodge Ram pickup truck ended up in the dining room of the Wendy's Restaurant Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Georgia 400 and Highway 53.<br /> <br /> Dawson County Sheriff's Major Tony Wooten said emergency personnel were called to the scene just after 4 p.m.<br /> <br /> "The truck was actually sitting inside the store, running," Wooten said, "with some pretty extensive structure damage to the Wendy's."<br /> <br /> The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. No one in the restaurant was hurt.<br /> <br /> "I imagine they are going to be closed for a little while until it is repaired," Wooten speculated.<br /> <br /> The incident remains under investigation. The name of the driver of the vehicle was not released.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
