Captain D's robbery suspect arrested

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Police report the arrest of Robert Malcolm Thompson for the May 23rd robbery of the Captain D's Seafood Kitchen on Pearl Nix Parkway.<br /> <br /> Police spokesman Corporal Joe Britte said Thompson was taken into custody without incident Wednesday morning by members of the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad.<br /> <br /> "He currently is being held at the Hall County Jail," Britte explained. "He has been charged with Robbery by Force and Simple Battery."<br /> <br /> Britte said Thompson never produced a weapon during the robbery but used intimidation to force the female cashier to turn the contents of her cash drawer over to him.<br /> <br /> "He is kind of tall in stature, but he did intimidate the cashier," Britte said. Thompson was taken into custody without incident according to Britte.<br /> <br /> The employee was taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following the robbery for treatment of minor injuries and released that evening.<br />
