Gainesville PD looks for man who robbed Captain D's

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville police are looking for a suspected armed robber who held up the Captain D's restaurant on Pearl Nix Parkway Friday night.

Police Cpl. Joe Britte says the incident happened around 8 p.m.

"The suspect description was white male, wearing a blue striped shirt and jeans," said Britte. He offered no other description of the suspect.

Britte said the suspect never showed a weapon, but he did threaten employees of the restaurant.

Britte said one employee received minor injuries and was treated and released from Northeast Georgia Medical Center; he was unsure of the nature of her injuries.
