Maysville woman dies from injuries suffered in May 13 crash

CLARKESVILLE - A Maysville woman involved in a single-vehicle car accident on May 13 in Clarkesville has died from injuries she sustained in the crash.

Christa Joy Joyce, 28, died Thursday, May 22, according to authorities.

Joyce had been hospitalized at Northeast Georgia Medical Center with a serious head injury ever since the time of the accident.

At the time of the wreck, the Georgia State Patrol said Joyce was lost control of her 2007 Honda Accord on Stonepile Road just north of Clarkesville. In the ensuing crash, Joyce, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.
