Robber takes cash from TitleMax in Oakwood, may have also robbed Chamblee location

OAKWOOD - Oakwood authorities are investigating a robbery that happened this afternoon on Mundy Mill Road, and they think their suspect may have traveled to Chamblee.

According to Investigator Danny Sridej, at about 3:30 p.m., the suspect brandished a silver hand gun and forced the employees of the Title Max on Mundy Mill Road to empty the registers.

"[He] tried to force them into the back of the room and took all the cash from all the registers and the locked the employees in the back of the room, and one customer," said Sridej.

The suspect then fled. Within an hour and a half, a TitleMax in Chamblee reported a robbery with a suspect matching the same description.

The amount of money missing is still being tallied, Sridej said.

Sridej described the suspect is described as a black male, roughly six feet, two inches tall, with a stocky build and wearing dark clothing and a mask.

Anyone with information should contact Oakwood Police.
