'Ready, Set, Wear It!' water safety event this weekend

GAINESVILLE - A national campaign focusing on water safety comes to Gainesville this weekend.<br /> <br /> "Ready, Set, Wear It!" emphasizes the use of life jackets and other flotation devices and Hall County Fire Services (HCFS) is the only Georgia agency participating this year, according to HCFS spokesman Scott Cagle.<br /> <br /> Cagle cited the boating accident that occurred on Lake Lanier Sunday as "just another reminder" of the importance of water safety.<br /> <br /> The event will be held from 11:00-1:00 at Van Pugh Day Use Park on Gaines Ferry Road near Flowery Branch. <br /> <br /> "As mentioned earlier, this is an 'informal' event
