ATLANTA (AP) -- Police say five people have been shot near a high school in Atlanta. Officials say all five are believed to be students.
Sgt. Greg Lyon says the five were shot near Therrell High School on Tuesday afternoon. He says their injuries don't appear to be life-threatening. Police have said the shooting didn't happen on school property.
Atlanta Public Schools spokeswoman Kimberly Willis Green says the victims are believed to be students. It wasn't immediately clear if the shooter was also a student, or if the shooter had been apprehended.
Green says the school was locked down as a precaution, and all after-school activities have been canceled.
