East Jackson Middle School evacuated

By Staff
COMMERCE - A week after a bomb threat led to the evacuation of East Jackson High School, students at East Jackson Middle School were relocated because of a threat written on a bathroom wall.

Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum has not yet released details on the incident, but the Jackson County School System Facebook page said the school was evacuated as a precaution.

East Jackson Middle was searched and cleared around 10 a.m. and students are now being returned to class.
