FOP in Cumming plans annual 'Shoot and Ride' fundraiser

CUMMING - The Sgt. David P. Land Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #82 is holding a Shoot and Ride Poker Run on Sat., May 17. The ride begins at Killer Creek Harley-Davidson in Roswell and ends at the FOP Lodge in Cumming. <br /> <br /> This is a Ride and Shoot motorcycle ride where participants will shoot for their cards. There will be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Every person will shoot or draw a card at each stop. <br /> <br /> This ride has been an annual event and is done in memory of Sgt. David P. Land, a motor officer for the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, who was killed responding to a call on his motorcycle on March 26, 2003. The Forsyth County FOP lodge was named in his memory also.<br /> <br /> Proceeds go to benefit the children of fallen officers in the area. <br /> <br /> You can click on the link below for more information.
