Police seek suspects in home invasion near Mercer U. in Atlanta

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) -- Police are searching for suspects in an overnight home invasion at an off-campus apartment complex near the Mercer University campus just outside Atlanta.

DeKalb County police say the crime happened early Thursday morning at the complex on Flowers Road South.

Police tell WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1rRH6bA ) that two armed suspects forced their way into an apartment and stole several items. Residents were inside the apartment at the time, but no one was hurt.

Police did not say whether the victims were college students, but the TV station reports that the off-campus apartments house several Mercer students.
