Forsyth Co. robbery suspect arrested

CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities said a man who led authorities on a manhunt in March following a robbery has been taken into custody.

Kinneth Battle was arrested in Roswell Wednesday night, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater.

"We developed some leads this week that he could be possibly in...the city of Roswell area and we started surveillance at a specific apartment complex," said Rainwater.

"Around 8 o'clock we were able to identify Kinneth Battle and a brief chase took place again, but this time we were able to apprehend him."

Battle is accused in the armed robbery of an Alpharetta convenience store on March 15. He fled into Forsyth County after the crime, according to Rainwater, and deputies looked for him for nearly 12 hours before abandoning the search.

Rainwater said Battle lived in the Roswell area, but his girlfriend lived in Forsyth County.

Battle is being held without bond in connection with crimes in several jurisdictions.
