One lane of Clarks Bridge Rd. to be closed today because of bridge work

GAINESVILLE - Georgia DOT plans to pour the eighth of twelve concrete caissons for the new State Route 284/Clarks Bridge Road bridge in North Hall today beginning at 1:00, weather permitting.

GDOT spokeswoman Teri Pope says that will require the closing on one lane, the northbound lane until about 4:00.

Pope says traffic will be directed across the bridge by a flagger during the lane closure.
