Fulton Co. prosecutor wounded in shooting

By The Associated Press
ATLANTA (AP) Authorities say a Fulton County prosecutor is among two people who were wounded in what they're calling a domestic shooting, and the suspect is reportedly dead.

Atlanta police say two people were shot Friday morning in a car parked residential area. One of the victims is identified as April McConnell, an assistant district attorney, and police say the other is a man.

WSB-TV is reporting the suspect, Tranard McConnell, was found dead later at a nearby cemetery and is McConnell's husband.

According to the station, April McConnell filed papers seeking a divorce on Monday.

Police Capt. Paul Guerrucci says McConnell had multiple gunshot wounds. He says there is no indication the shooting had anything to do with the woman's job.
