Tennis: Jefferson teams swept by GAC in first round

NORCROSS -- Both the Jefferson boys and girls tennis teams were knocked out of the Class AA state playoffs Wednesday in the first round at Greater Atlanta Christian.

The Lady Dragons lost 3-0 as they were swept in the singles.

Cailyn Diianni, Abi Muesse, and Chiara Pate all lost in straight set matches.

The Jefferson boys lost 4-0 to the Spartans. Gage Thompson lost in straight sets while Jordan Tyler lost 5-7, 6-1, 6-0 in singles play.

The doubles teams of Justin Harrison and Nathaniel Trawick and Hal Jarrett and Caleb Tyler both dropped straight set matches.
