By Rob Moore Reporter
CLARKESVILLE - A motorcyclist who fled from Clarkesville police and the Habersham County Sheriff's Office Saturday afternoon faces nearly a dozen charges.

Blake Adam Masters of Clarkesville faces charges from both the city and the county.

Clarkesville police charged him with improper passing on hill/curve, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, and improper passing.

The sheriff's office charged Masters in state court with fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, failure to obey stop sign, three counts of driving on the wrong side of an undivided street.

Sheriff Joey Terrell said Masters fled from Clarkesville Police Officer Adam Ray who was attempting to stop him for "showing out" in the city.

HCSO HEAT Officer Benny Loudermilk also was involved in the chase. Officers lost the fleeing motorcycle.

When Masters came back and gestured to officers, they again pursued him up Georgia Highway 15 (U.S. 441) and onto Turkey Crest Road.

Masters attempted to run on foot but was apprehended by Sheriff's Cpl. Brent Cook, Terrell said.
