LCKC hosting Canoe Kayak Canada National Team Trials

GAINESVILLE - Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club will host the Canoe Kayak Canada National Team Trials April 25-27 at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue. <br /> <br /> Some of the world's top paddlers will compete on the waters of the 1996 Olympics for positions on the 2014 Canadian National team. Athletes began arriving in Gainesville this past weekend to prepare for the event. <br /> <br /> The races will start at 8:30 each morning. Sunday races are expected to end early afternoon, while Friday and Saturday races will continue until around 5:00. The event is free to spectators.
