BUFORD - For the second straight game the Class AAA No. 1 Buford Wolves took care of business in five short innings, this time against region-foe Dawson County on Tuesday, with a 12-2 victory.

Buford tallied 12 runs in the five innings, thanks in part to an explosive 10-run third inning. The Wolves scored one in the first inning and one in the fourth inning before the mercy rule was invoked.

Wolves pitcher Kevin Coulter (6-0) threw a complete game holding Dawson County to just two runs, both scored in the first inning.

Joey Bart sparked the Buford offense with hits, two doubles and a grand slam, and six RBI. Griffen Jolliff had one hit and Austin Wilhite had one hit to go with three walks and he scored three times.

Buford (17-0, 13-0 Region 7-AAA) and Dawson County (10-8, 5-8) will wrap-up a home-and-home series Wednesday in Dawsonville.
